It’s hard to grasp that only a week ago I was in the midst of the Passion for Fashion challenge. To say that last weekend was stressful would be an understatement. But it was also an insane, wonderful, gut-wrenching and edifying experience. I met some lovely people and was definitely pushed beyond what I expected from myself in the time that was provided. I will try my best to communicate what life felt like for those two days. Continue reading
This has been a very long, very hectic month. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to have been so occupied. But by the time the dust had settled, a whole month had gone by. And the blog lay, once again, abandoned. Oi. Not to worry though! I have a month’s worth of projects to post about, and they’re all going to publish over the coarse of this week. (Lucky you.) Let’s get started, shall we? Continue reading
This past week and weekend was spent finishing the endeavors began in the last entry. I’d finished the basic bodice and skirt slopers for me, and was still working on the beginnings of my fiance‘s sloper. We’re on a bit of a time crunch since his gallery opening is June 20. This is obviously plenty of time to start and finish a shirt – so why the crunch? Continue reading
Another bloody hiatus. Admittedly, being this busy is a good problem to have, but I still feel awful going this long between posts. I’ve made it through the two major deadlines for this month, so hopefully I can get back into the groove of 2 – 3 posts a week.

So please, take a few moments and follow this link to my Facebook event page. And if you haven’t already, ‘like’ the Scene Ripper page.
If you’re interested, you can follow the progress and final photos of this outfit on my post ‘Finishing moves & Good news!’
UPDATE 6/2: Facebook voting is completed. If you participated, you are phenomenal and I thank you for your support. The three overall winners won’t be announced until end of June/beginning of July. Now I play the waiting game.
Before I get back into talking about sewing and projects and such, I have to give a shout out to an amazing local Michigan business, Brazen Cosmetics in Ferndale. Amazing products, and the proprietor, Sandria, is absolutely lovely. My mother and I visited the shop while she was in town, and had a fantastic experience. Continue reading
Oh my gosh, you guys! I have dropped the ball. So I finished the military shirt over the weekend. Why no post until now? Everything went into super go mode by the end of last week. The deadline for the Party Like a Rock Star competition is looming, and with Easter my timetable was getting crunched. Continue reading
I need to listen to something when I work or time seems to stretch forever and I have a heard time keeping pace. Just for fun, I’m going to add whatever album, podcast or playlist I was listening to for each project. Continue reading
