Hey all! So after a mild bought of depression, I’m back! Nothing super serious, but with all my submissions turned in and all of my deadlines completed, I was in a bit of a slump. There is always something to work on – but what should I work on? And without a clear goal in sight, what’s the point? Especially when TruTV has marathons of Worlds Dumbest on by the time I get home from work. Then I remembered that I have about ten different garments that I’ve wanted to make for myself forever. It has was 9 hours of painting, but I got them all done. I did decide to punish myself and colored the illustrations in gouache. All in all, the process was pretty smooth. Continue reading
(Post-dated June 18)
Hello and hey all! This post will focus on my endeavor to make the deadline for a Godzilla themed art show. I had a ton of fun working on this project because I get to be a nerd about two things – designing clothes and Godzilla! This has been a very long, very hectic month. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to have been so occupied. But by the time the dust had settled, a whole month had gone by. And the blog lay, once again, abandoned. Oi. Not to worry though! I have a month’s worth of projects to post about, and they’re all going to publish over the coarse of this week. (Lucky you.) Let’s get started, shall we? Continue reading

I’d finished the basic bodice and skirt slopers for me, and was still working on the beginnings of my fiance‘s sloper. We’re on a bit of a time crunch since his gallery opening is June 20. This is obviously plenty of time to start and finish a shirt – so why the crunch? Continue reading
I can’t wait until my only job is Scene Ripper. Having a day job is for the birds. Totally eats 40 hours out of time I could be spent sewing. And actually updating the myriad of social media. Continue reading
I’m back! And when I said I would be too. Now for the conclusion of the Bar Show Chronicles … Continue reading
Another bloody hiatus. Admittedly, being this busy is a good problem to have, but I still feel awful going this long between posts. I’ve made it through the two major deadlines for this month, so hopefully I can get back into the groove of 2 – 3 posts a week.
So what has happened in the last week that’s kept me from my blog? Well, the voting has begun for the ‘Party Like a Rock Star’ finals. Continue reading
